Lockout/Tagout Training with Machine Guarding and Electrical Safety

This training consists of a reviewing OSHA's standards for machine guarding, electrical safety, and lockout/tagout.
Students will learn:
Fundamentals of machine guarding with photos to illustrate key concepts
Electrical safety fundamentals, including hazards of electricity, guarding of live parts, grounding, proper use of equipment, use and operation of GFCI's, and electrical safety-related work practices
Requirements of OSHA's lockout/tagout standard (1910.147) is discussed in detail. The term "energy isolating device" is discussed as well as the requirement for equipment-specific lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA's periodic inspection requirement
Each of these subjects includes a review of OSHA violations consistently cited by OSHA Compliance Officers during inspections
