About Workplace Safety

Workplace Safety was founded by W. Jon Wallace, CSP, MBA in 2002. Jon is a Certified Safety Professional with over two decades of safety experience. His industrial experience includes Mobil Oil and Hercules. He has over ten years safety consulting experience and was employed by U.S. HealthWorks—Preventive Services Division prior to joining Workplace Group. While there he assisted clients in the chemical, nuclear, furniture, semiconductor, automotive, steel, and pharmaceutical industries.

In addition to safety consulting, Jon is on the faculty of the University of North Carolina Education & Research Center (ERC), and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He teaches various safety topics including the 10- and 30-hour OSHA compliance course. He is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer.
